The Secret
Life of Pollenators

Busy Day Collecting Pollen
The Gray Hairstreak comes to my yard every year to sip on my buckwheat nectar. Having a native plant habitat in my back yard makes photographing fun... all I need to do is sit and wait for them to come to me!

"The hum of bees is the voice of the garden."" - Elizabeth Lawrance
Pollination is vital to life on Earth, most of it is unseen by the human eye. Without pollinators we would have no food to eat.
Bees might be the most well know insects we think of as pollinators however, butterflies, fly’s moths, beetles, wasps, ants, and birds also pollinate.
I’ve had many humbling moments while photographing this gallery. observing nature through my camera lens presents the complexity and beauty nature has to offer if you just take the time to stop and look!
Please help our pollinator by planting seasonal nectar plants, and not using toxic chemicals in your garden and landscaping.
Enjoy!
